bethany beach bungalow bedroom

I created a bohemian bedroom for our beach house using a mixture of vintage and new items. Below is the basic mood board that I used for inspiration. The Andrea platform bed from urban outfitters was the starting point. I have wanted to use it for a long time but we need a king size bed and it does not come in king. Since we could only fit a queen in this room, it was the perfect opportunity. the room has a wonderful cedar shingle curved wall. this was my inspiration to use a mix of wood tones in vintage pieces to work with the cedar and the bed frame. Next I used Facebook marketplace and craigslist to find the vintage pieces I wanted to incorporate. Sourcing from these online market places allows me to get items that are well built and have a lot of character. it takes a while to find the perfect piece but it saves money and is like recycling! the wall mirror is vintage and came from my mother’s house. she was moving and I was only too happy to take this off her hands. The wall paint is sherwin Williams marshmallow, which has a pink overtone in certain light. some of the items are no longer available, so I included links for similar where possible.❤️

the nightstands and the desk ended up being different - you have to grab something fast if you find it!
